Greater Shepparton will be hosting the Victorian Government’s Mobile Business Centre on Thursday 6 December.

The Mobile Business Centre will be touring the region to offer free business mentoring and information about the Victorian Government's low-cost programs and support services through Small Business Victoria. An experienced business mentor will be available throughout the tour to offer free and confidential advice to local businesses.

The service will also be offering mentoring to businesses affected by the collapse of the Banksia Financial group.

Greater Shepparton Mayor Jenny Houlihan encouraged business owners to visit the mobile business centre and take advantage of the services on offer.

"I am a small business owner and I encourage others to come along and find out about the programs and services that Small Business Victoria offer," Cr Houlihan said.

Jamie Cox President of The Shepparton Chamber of Commerce & Industry commended the government in working with small regional businesses to assist in planning and developing assistance programs to continue to build business in regional Victoria.

"I would encourage members and business owners to attend these sessions to gain valuable insight and assistance for minimal or no cost.

"Regional businesses continue to face challenges at various levels, these programs are designed to help business owners continue to build and develop their businesses."

The Mobile Business Centre will be available outside the Greater Shepparton Council offices on Thursday 6 December from 10am-4pm.
