Despite the winter weather experienced on Friday and Saturday, this year’s Shepparton Winter City Market has been hailed as a great success by traders, with many stating it was the biggest that Shepparton has seen. Thousands of locals flocked to the CBD over the two big days in a bid to grab a bargain and enjoy the abundance of free entertainment on offer.

Greater Shepparton City Council Economic Development Project Officer, Rohan Sali said, “This has been one of the biggest markets attendance wise. I’ve never seen Shepparton so busy.”  There were more than 50 stalls which provided a variety of products and entertainment. “The feedback we received from the traders was that they very happy with the results,” said Rohan.

The Daffodil Day stallholders also wanted to give their thanks for the support received from the community. Greater Shepparton City Council and ‘Shep Show Me’ wish to build on the markets and continue to make them a great success in years to come.
