Many great things happen in Greater Shepparton - Conference and Major Event Planning Guide to be launched at AIME.

Greater Shepparton City Council launched its 2017 Conference and Major Event Planning Guide on Wednesday 22 February at the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo in Melbourne.

The Planning Guide is divided into three main sections and features over 50 venues, suppliers and local attractions in the Greater Shepparton region.

The Planning Guide provides concise and easy to read information on venues that can host meetings and events ranging from 10 to 10,000 participants and will be an invaluable tool for groups looking to host conferences and major events in Greater Shepparton.

Greater Shepparton City Council last year launched its new destination brand, Many Great Things, and the publication is one of the first to utilise the new branding. Businesses from across the region have contributed content to the guide ensuring the information is relevant, accurate and geared towards the needs of users.

Greater Shepparton is a major events location with a full 12 months of activities planned for 2017. “This includes a broad cross section of arts and culture, food and wine, business, motoring and sporting events which reflect the region’s strengths, interests of the community and which celebrate the great lifestyle our region offers,” said Greater Shepparton City Council Director Sustainable Development Johann Rajaratnam.

Mr Rajaratnam said organisations considering Greater Shepparton for a conference or event will find there is something happening nearly every weekend in the region. “They will also receive support and guidance from our tourism and events teams who are very knowledgeable about the region and customising an experience for groups,” said Mr Rajaratnam.
