Yay for YAY! The Victorian Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Jobs Victoria and YAY, is delivering an internship program to provide career opportunities to multicultural youth. They're providing 60 young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds an opportunity to kickstart their careers through paid 6 - 8 week internships!
What does the internship program involve?
- Engage a degree qualified multicultural intern for a six to eight-week internship
- Free cultural awareness and pre-internship preparatory training
- Employers will receive a $5,000 payment on completion of the internship to contribute towards the cost of taking on an intern
- As a business taking on an intern, you must have the time and resourcing to offer mentoring (regular catchups to provide insights into your business’s operation and to help interns gain an understanding of the challenge that you have presented them with).
