Applications are now open for the People and Places Grant Program.
Grants of between $100,000 and up to $1,200,000 are available for organisations to deliver activities that increase awareness and sign ups of eligible workers for the Victorian Sick Pay Guarantee.
The Sick Pay Guarantee is an Australian-first initiative that provides eligible casual and contract workers in certain jobs with up to 38 hours a year of sick and carer’s pay at the national minimum wage. The pilot program is fully funded by the Victorian Government.
Casual, contract and self-employed workers in more than 600 jobs are eligible to sign up for the Sick Pay Guarantee.
The People and Places Grant Program focuses on supporting workers in priority communities and locations that may not be aware of the Sick Pay Guarantee, face barriers to sign up or require additional support to sign up.
