ASIC is pleased to announce that they have launched a new online service to update details for a business name using ASIC Connect.
Most transactions take only a few minutes to complete and in many cases customers will receive confirmation on the spot that updates have been made.
Transactions that can be completed online include:
- updating business name addresses
- adding or removing a partner from a partnership that holds a business name
- updating business name holder details (including personal addresses)
- updating representative details
- applying to cancel a business name, and
- transferring a business name to a new holder.
ASIC have also created step-by-step user guides to assist customers through the process of changing business name details. Guides are available from the ASIC website.
To change business name details with ASIC Connect, customers will need to first create an ASIC Connect account and link their business names to it. Customers will also need the ASIC key for the business name.
If customers do not have the ASIC key, they can be ordered online through ASIC Connect.
