Grant applications are now open for impacted manufacturers of native Victorian hardwood products due to the cessation of native timber harvesting of Victorian state forests.

In May, the Victorian Government announced that native timber harvesting in Victorian state forests will cease on 1 January 2024.  The Timber Supply Chain Resilience Package is providing support to Victorian manufacturers with professional advice, planning services and access to grants.

Grants of up to $3,000 are available for moderately impacted manufacturers with applications closing on 30 November 2023.  Applications close on 31 October 2023 for highly impacted manufacturers who can gain assistance with vouchers of up to $25,000 to access services and advice on business planning.
