Your plumbing and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling (HVAC) business could receive up to 50% discount on hiring costs for 2 years by employing a female apprentice.
A new round of apprenticeships for women wanting to commence a career as a mechanical services plumber or air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic is now open with the aim of helping to address the underrepresentation of women in trades and skilled worker shortages.
The apprentices also benefit with financial incentives for 2 years of their apprenticeship including a tool allowance when they begin their apprenticeship.
If your business is registered with the State Government's Solar Homes Program, you can hire a Solar Victoria apprentice as a host employer through Plumbing Apprenticeships Victoria. By doing this, your business can access resources and receive the following benefits:
