Time is running out to provide your feedback on the four concept designs for the proposed Maude Street Mall redevelopment. The public consultation period closes on June 30 so make sure to check out the designs and provide your feedback. You can log onto Council’s website or visit Council’s Welsford Street Office or Think CBD Office in the Tower Arcade, Shepparton to have your say!
The designs have been completed by Spiire and provide four options for a redeveloped Mall including leaving the mall closed, opening it to two way traffic and two options for one way traffic. In all options the Mall would be significantly upgraded and improved. The four options are outlined below:
Option 1 - Reintroduction of two-way traffic and on-street car parking between Fryers and High Street
Option 2 - Introduction of one-way traffic and on-street car parking entering from Fryers Street and High Street and exiting at Stewart Street.
Option 3 - Retention of the Mall as a pedestrianised open space with new urban design elements and infrastructure upgrades
Option 4 - Introduction of one-way traffic between Fryers Street and Stewart Street with additional off-street parking in the south, accessed from High Street.
Please provide your feedback by completing the online survey HERE. Consultation will be live until 30 June 2018.
