The Victorian Manufacturing Minister, David Hodgett, announced three $250,000 Victorian Government Grants are expected to help create 10 new jobs at Radevski Coolrooms, Australian Consolidated Milk and Midland Concrete Pipes.
It will go towards multi-million dollar upgrades of machinery. Mr Hodgett says he hopes the improvements will increase the companies' export capabilities.
"Our reputation, particularly up here in the food bowl, of clean and green products of food and produce, and the opportunities to get them both into the domestic market and the international market, in particular the Asia Pacific region just north of us, presents us with some wonderful opportunities to take advantage of," he said.
"All of these announcements will result in some additional jobs or jobs transitioned to high value roles.
"The companies I spoke to today are all locally employed people, so you're talking about additional jobs for Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley."
