Are you a social enterprise operating in Greater Shepparton and would like to do a deep dive into the social enterprise ecosystem. You’ll learn from others and bring your learnings back to develop your own idea, business, community and region.
During the months of February and March 2024, the Hume Social Enterprise Melbourne Tour will provide two opportunities:
Opportunity #1: EXPLORE
We will convene a subsidised overnight field trip to Melbourne to visit city social enterprises, including the Queen Victoria Purpose Precinct.
The trip will be limited to a small group (maximum 10) with participants selected via an EOI process. You will need to be already working in or transitioning into a social enterprise and be prepared to share back reflections from this trip at a follow up event. You will have the opportunity to nominate a social enterprise that you are interested in visiting, or an area of focus (eg environmental, circular economy, hospitality).
The cost to you will be your time and a small fee ($50). It includes travel via mini bus, accommodation, dinner and breakfast. The date for this tour is yet to be finalised but will be mid-late February 2024.
Opportunity #2: SHARE BACK
All those who attend the field trip will be invited to a full-day gathering to share back what they learnt to a broader audience, and identify opportunities for the Hume region. This workshop will take place in early-mid March 2024.
