On behalf of Greater Shepparton City Council, we would like to introduce you to an exciting event happening in our local area on Saturday 26th October, the Garage Sale Trail
There are around 7.4 million garages in Australia. What if every one of them had a Garage Sale on the same day? That's the idea behind the Garage Sale Trail! Greater Shepparton City Council is participating in the Garage Sale Trail, as a fantastic way of promoting recycling and sustainability, bringing our local residents together and having a bit of fun.
We want to give you the opportunity to get involved in an event that is all about our local community. If the 2012 Garage Sale Trail is anything to go by, there will be pop-up record stores, art shows, bike sales as well as your classic clothes and bric-a-brac sales. To see what happened last year or to find out more, head to garagesaletrail.com.au.
As a business owner, you are an integral part of our local community. By getting involved in Greater Shepparton's Garage Sale Trail, you will be aligning yourself and your business with our community members, and connecting with both new and existing customers. Greater Shepparton City Council will help you promote your involvement with the Garage Sale Trail by providing you with posters and flyers to display in your business and distribute to your customers. So, what are you waiting for? Get creative! It is completely up to you to decide the theme of your Garage Sale.
In the past, we’ve found that the most popular Sales are creative and aligned to the local community and it’s culture, not as a stock-take or clearance sale. If you would like to hold a Garage Sale on Saturday 26th October, you can register your sale at garagesaletrail.com.au from 5th August 2013. For any enquiries, or to share your Garage Sale ideas, please contact Greater Shepparton City Council.
