Have your say! Greater Shepparton City Council has engaged Urban Enterprise to prepare an Economic Development, Visitor Economy and Major Events Strategy (2023 to 2027). The aim of the Strategy is to provide a unified approach for Council to guide sustainable growth, economic resilience, and enhance the viability of the economy, tourism industry and major events sector.
The Strategy is in its initial stages of development, and workshops with both internal and external stakeholders are being undertaken to identify key issues and opportunities for the region.
Workshops for Visitor Economy stakeholders will be held at the Shepparton Senior Citizens Centre (132 Welsford Street, Shepparton):
- Monday evening, 1 May 5:30pm - 7pm
- Tuesday morning, 2 May 7:30am - 9am
The consultation session will cover various topics including:
- Overview of the Greater Shepparton economy, visitor economy and events sector;
- Issues and opportunities related to the above sector; and
- Future priorities
