The Victorian Government is providing assistance to small business owners affected by the Banksia Financial Group collapse.

Small Business Victoria (SBV) is offering business assistance through the Small Business Mentoring Service, at no cost to businesses.

Up to four free mentoring sessions are available to each business.

Business assistance may include:

  • working with business owners to assess the overall impact on business viability;
  • supporting business owners in dealing with insurance coverage issues;
  • investigating any government assistance that the business owner can access;
  • support in handling communication with employees, customers and suppliers;
  • a review of the business's financial position; and
  • working with directly affected business owners to develop a plan to maintain, improve or close their business.

How can I get mentoring assistance?

  • Call the Business Victoria Contact Centre directly on 132 215 to register
  • Complete the attached Small Business Mentor Request Form and Email it to angela.ciavarella@dbi.vic.gov.au
