Greater Shepparton City Council, through its destination brand Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, recently invited community members to participate in the art contest: A cup of Shepp and GV.
Our diverse community and its people are at the heart of what makes this region special. This contest focused on showcasing the hidden talents of the community, with the opportunity for residents to develop creative artwork which represents some of the unique towns found within the region.
Open to all ages, artists were encouraged to use their favourite physical media technique to create an original art piece that represents one of the following communities in Shepparton and Goulburn Valley: Shepparton, Mooroopna, Tatura, Dookie and Murchison.
The winners have been chosen and the five wining township artworks have now been printed as a limited release collectors cup and distributed to coffee shops and other businesses across the regions. To collect all five cups you will need to plan a visit to Shepparton, Murchison, Tatura, Mooroopna and Dookie and request an art cup with your beverage purchase at participating venues.
