New funding to support Victorian businesses is now available. Applications for the first round of funding under the Victorian Government’s Smarter Resources, Smarter Business Program are now open.

The Smarter Resources, Smarter Business Program assists medium-sized businesses (defined as those with between 20 and 199 employees) to improve their energy and materials efficiency.

Funding is now available for businesses to:

  • undertake capital investments that improve resource efficiency (e.g. the purchase of equipment that reduces energy or materials consumption
  • undertake an energy or materials assessment
  • undertake additional scoping work such as feasibility studies, detailed design analysis and business case development that leads to implementation of resource efficiency improvements
  • help prepare applications for third party grants relating to resource efficiency

Applications for Round One capital investment funding close at 5pm on Friday 14 December 2012.
