Goulburn Valley Water currently has small business grants available up to a total of $5000 for individual non-residential customers to invest in water saving initiatives.

To be eligible for one of these grants, customers must:

• Contribute at least 50% of their own funding to the project;
• Report to Goulburn Valley Water via the water MAP program;
• Have projects completed by 30 September 2012; and
• Ensure a minimum of three-star rated appliances are used in the project, and that all fittings and installations meet relevant government regulations.
Greater Shepparton City Council Team Leader Business and Industry Geoff Hay said it was not too late to get applications in.

"Applications are open until 19 December 2011 and will be assessed on viability and water saving achievement," Mr Hay said.

"Grants will be provided as a lump sum against a paid invoice detailing the cost of the project."
