Infrastructure Victoria is developing advice to the Victorian Special Minister of State on the future capacity of Victoria’s container ports.

"Our focus is on the key questions – when and where?

We need to provide government advice on when to invest in extra ports capacity, and where – at either a Port of Hastings or Bay West location.

Our advice will be presented to the Victorian Special Minister of State in May 2017.

We have released a discussion paper which sets out the scope of our advice and how we plan to prepare it. We are currently seeking feedback on the discussion paper in this initial phase of consultation."
