The Victorian Farmers’ Market Association is holding a series of FREE workshops, including one in Echuca, for producers interested in becoming stallholders at farmers’ markets.

Whether you are setting up a new business or exploring alternative sales options, these workshops will provide you with the information to get started in this rewarding and profitable industry.

The November workshop this year will be held in Echuca at the shire offices on Thursday, November 10 from 10am to 2pm.

Business Centre Business Development Officer Lonnie O'Dwyer encouraged producers from the Greater Shepparton region to attend the Echuca workshop.

"A workshop was held in Shepparton earlier this year and was very popular," she said.

"We are pleased that those who missed out on attending the last one will have an opportunity to do so in Echuca."

The workshops will broadly cover the following topics:

  • VFMA Accreditation
  • How to access markets and market managers
  • Compliance information ( permits, insurance etc)
  • Helpful sales techniques
  • Assistance with product development
  • Simple marketing tips
  • How to set up an effective market stall

The workshop will be held at the Council offices corner of Hare & Heygarth Sts.

Cost is $40/person for non Victorian Farmers Association Members. Lunch is included.
