Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting local businesses to update their details on the Business Directory located on the Council website.

Council's Team Leader Business and Industry, Geoff Hay said this presents an excellent opportunity for local businesses and community groups to update their details on the website free of charge.

"The information currently provides a valuable resource for prospective, new and current residents seeking the products and services of local businesses," Mr Hay said.

"Not only are we encouraging existing businesses to check the accuracy of their details, but also inviting new businesses to add their business listing."

The process of updating or adding business details has been simplified by an online process.

"Any additions or alterations received are validated with the business before placing them live on the directory," Mr Hay said.

The Business Directory is an initiative of Council's Economic Development Branch, created to promote local businesses on a database that is maintained locally.
