Applications for funding under the Victorian Government’s three-year $10 million Smarter Resources, Smarter Business program are now open
The program assists medium-sized Victorian businesses to improve their materials and energy efficiency, leading to reduced operating costs and environmental impacts.
Funding is available for medium-sized businesses with between 20 and 199 employees to:
- make investments to improve resource efficiency (such as the purchase of equipment that reduces materials or energy consumption);
- undertake an energy or materials efficiency assessment;
- undertake additional scoping work such as feasibility studies, detailed design analysis and business case development that leads to implementation of resource efficiency improvements; and
- help prepare applications for third party grants relating to resource efficiency.
In addition to the funding, the Smarter Resources, Smarter Business program will provide businesses with information and tips on improving the productivity of the resources and materials they use, business networking opportunities, technical advice and a recognition program.
