Do you have skills and attributes to offer a Regional Board Position ? The Department of Environment and Primary Industry (DEPI) are seeking expressions of Interest for Board appointments to the Goulburn Valley Waste and Resource Recovery Group.
Appointments to commence operation August 1 2014 (pending legislative passage).
Applicants will be short-listed on the basis of their skills, experience or knowledge in at least 2 or more of the following areas:
- Local Government
- Financial Management
- Contract Managemen
- Risk Management
- Environmental Policy
- Waste Management
- Materials Efficiency
Some of the skills and attributes required of individuals include: integrity, strategic thinking, ability to contribute constructively as a team member.
Other skills and attributes are important for the board to possess collectively e.g. many boards are a mix of board members with particular expertise/qualifications and board members with expertise in stakeholder relations and community engagement.
