The Greater Shepparton Council's Planning Department has provided the latest activity data as at the end of November 2012. It shows that planning application numbers are slightly up on 2011 figures.

In November 2012, 58 planning permits were issued by the Council's Planning Department, with 44 new planning permit applications being received.

The last six month period has seen an average of 40-50 incoming applications, with a similar figure for approvals.

The Planning Department has also been averaging around 50 days for approval time which is under the statutory requirement of 60 days.

For the current year to date, (20 December 2012), 473 planning applications have been received which compares with 464 applications for the corresponding period in 2011.
